Spic Macay Workshop

Plethora of classics, textuality of Oral tradition and poetics classical performances have always been sumumbonum of human life. The students of the NIT have always craved for the taste of the same. Owing to the Cultural tradition of the Institute, Dakshina Vaidyanathan was invited to the Institute to conduct a Workshop on Bharatnatyam, a classical Indian dance form that originated in the temples of South India. Chhavi, Neeti, Roohmoney, Saloni, Viplove, Mukul, Himanshu, Abhishek, Ashish and Roshan from B.Tech (First Year) and Meenakshi from second year participated in the same. The Workshop was coordinated by Kanchan Jha and Rajat Kapoor, both from third year.

The workshop was preceded by a beautiful Live Concert which was fervently enjoyed by the Faculty, staff and students. Prof H T Thorat, Director NIT Uttarakhand, inaugurated and welcomed the guests on the same occasion.

Few Glimpses of the Event 2016

Bijay Kumar Shahu Ji and group were invited for the Gotipua Dance Recital on 25th August 2016 in the Auditorium of the Institute. The students witnessed the performance in large numbers and were mesmerized by it.
