The Council of Student Affairs is the students governing body that organizes and regulates all student activities. It is responsible for conducting various events of the Institute smoothly. It plans budgets, nominates students commitee for various events, selects club executive bodies, regulates proper functioning of the clubs and monitors all other activities through its various meetings organized fortnightly. The Vice-President is the overall head of the CSA and coordinates with the Academic Secretary, Cultural Secretary, Hostel Secretary, Treasurer, Batch Representatives and Girl Representative to function with transparency. These members of the council are assisted by the DSSA members who are elected for regulating and monitoring departmental issues for each department seperately.
The CSA organizes the departmental gathering (DG), the institute gathering(IG), the tech-fest, the sports meet, batch competitions, technical competitions cultural competitions, Durga puja, Ganesh Chaturthi, Institute day, invited talks and special events all through the year. It is, therefore, responsible for conducting all student activities at the Institute.
Each year the members of the CSA are elected by general elections under the supervision of the Electoral Officer and Associate Dean (Student Welfare). The first general election took place in 2013 and Mr. Avnish Gangwar was elected the first Vice-President (VP).Thereafter, the following students had served as Vice-President of CSA and coordinated all the CSA activities successfully during their tenure:

Mr. Vikash Kumar is currently serving as the Vice President of CSA for the academic year 2018-19. The council maintains absolute transparency and faithfulness in discharging all its duties and functions.
