Mr. Hari Maul Azad joined as the Registrar of NIT Uttarakhand on 31st January, 2024. Earlier he worked as Controller of Examinations (CoE) at HNB Garhwal Central University, Srinagar since June, 2023 and Registrar of Debts Recovery Tribunal (DRT), Dehradun under Deptt. of Financial Services, Min. of Finance, Govt. of India. from Nov’ 2017 to April, 2018. He also worked as Deputy Registrar of H. N. B. Garhwal Central University, Srinagar since Sept, 2012.
He worked as Senior Administrative Officer at IVRI, Izatnagar and Administrative Officer of Central Avian Research Institute (CARI), Izatnagar, Bareilly, (UP) and NRCS (present Indian Institute of Soybean Research), Indore (MP) in Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) after foundation course Training at National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM), Hyderabad from July to Oct 2006.
Mr. Azad has also served at the Office of the Accountant General, Gujarat, Ahmedabad during his initial appointments. He has a long experience of serving for more than 19 Years in almost all administrative and financial departments/sections including establishment, service matters, audit, pension, etc.
After his initial schooling from Sainik School Ghorakhal, Nainital in 1994, he graduated with Bachelors’ Degree in Tourism Studies (BTS) from IGNOU, New Delhi and 3 Yrs’ Diploma in Hotel Management from IHM, Bhopal. He completed his MA (Public Administration) from Barkatullah University, Bhopal (MP) and MBA degree from Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidyalaya (DAVV), Indore. He completed the Master of Business Laws (MBL) degree from National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore.
