NMR Spectrometer
NMR is used for analysis of organic compounds and diamagnetic inorganic metal complexes .
1. Fume-Hood
Fume-Hood is a reaction chamber employed for performing various dangerous reactions.
2. Rotary Evaporator
Rotary Evaporator is used for vacuum evaporation/drying of solvents/chemicals.
3. Schlenk line reaction setup
It is used for performing various reactions for handling moisture- and air-sensitive compounds.
4. Chiller
Chiller set-up is created to perform various low temperature reactions which may be explosive at high temperature.
5. Weighing Balance
These balances are used for weighing of compounds with 0.0001 gm accuracy.
6. Gaussian 16 & GaussView 6
These software are used for theoretical calculations of inorganic and organic compounds.
7. UV-Chamber
It is useful for irradiation of samples, monitoring TLC and observing fluorescent compounds both in the solid and solution state.
8. Hot Air Oven with controlled Temperature
Hot air ovens are used for drying the samples and glassware. Moreover, temperature controlled ovens are useful for making hydro-/solvo-thermal high temperature reaction in the Teflon lined reactors.
9. Microscope and Single Crystal Separation set-up
Microscopes used (here) for separating small size single crystals with the help of lamp.
10. Synthesis Laboratory
1. Conductometer
Experiment:To find the strength of hydrochloric acid solution by titrating it against sodium hydroxide solution conductometrcally
2. pH-meter
Experiment:To determine the dissociation constant of acetic acid using pH meter.
3. Titration Set-up
Experiment:
- 1. To determine the hardness do the given hard water sample by EDTA method
- 2. To determine the rate constant of hydrolysis of ethyl acetate catalyzed by HCl
- 3. To determine of dissolved oxygen (D.O.) in the given sample of water
- 4. To determine the strength of given solution of ferrous ammonium sulphate (Mohr’s salt) by titrating it against potassium dichromate Solution
4. Synthesis
Experiment:To Estimate the nickel content in the given sample using Dimethylglyoxime (DMG).
