Innovation and entrepreneurship development cell (IEDC) at NIT Uttarakhand promotes innovation, research, and entrepreneurial activities. The focus of this cell is to build a vibrant startup ecosystem. Guest lectures, workshops, seminars, project competitions and hackathon/ Innovation Fest are planned for the students to create opportunities for start-ups to develop sustainable business.
Institutions Innovation Council (IIC)
NIT Uttarakhand established Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) with MHRD Innovation Cell (MIC).
Functions of IIC
- To conduct various innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities prescribed by Central MIC in time bound fashion.
- Identify and reward innovations and share success stories.
- Organize periodic workshops/ seminars/ interactions with entrepreneurs, investors, professionals and create a mentor pool for student innovators.
- Network with peers and national entrepreneurship development organizations.
- Organize innovation competition, idea competition, mini-challenges etc.
